Welcome
Reigate Valley College (RVC) is a Pupil Referral Unit for both Primary and Secondary aged students. The RVC Sidlow Campus was established in September 2009 before merging with the Allingham Road Campus and subsequently joining with the Phoenix Campus Primary PRU to create the 5-16 provision.
In January 2014 Reigate Valley College (RVC had been judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in all areas in May 2013 and again in October 2017) began to support the South West Surrey Short Stay School (SWSSSS - later to become Wey Valley College) when they had been judged to "Require Improvement". Twelve months later Wey Valley College was judged as "Good" with "Outstanding Leadership". RVC and WVC formed a soft federation at this point.
In April 2015, the RVC and WVC Federation offered support to The Fordway Centre, a Primary PRU judged as needing a "Notice to Improve". Fourteen months later The Fordway Centre was judged "Outstanding" in all areas. The Fordway Centre officially joined the federation in April 2016.
RVC converted to an AP Academy in September 2021 with the other schools in the Federation to form the Inclusive Education Trust (IET), a Multi Academy Trust (MAT)
Our aim is to reduce the number of pupils who are permanently excluded from mainstream schools by offering an alternative intervention program. RVC is commissioned for 72 full-time equivalent places across the phases, which serve the South East of Surrey. The Local Authority liaise with local Headteachers and RVC to agree on and enrol pupils within our schools.
Our website aims to give you a more informed understanding of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.
