RVC Development
Surrey County Council, supported by Morgan Sindall Construction and Holmes Miller Architects, are hosting a public consultation event, to allow discussion and feedback on the proposal to construct a new APA School, on the site of the former care home at Park Hall Road, Reigate. The building will accommodate up to 72 pupils, with teaching spaces for both primary and secondary school age pupils, and will offer a range of learning zones, both internally and externally, grouped to suit pupil age range and key stage.
The building has been designed as a two storey structure, and will be positioned largely on the footprint of the existing building. The building is proposed to be finished with masonry, and the Council are keen for views of the local community, as to the colour and finish of the brickwork, and feature colours to be used, to ensure the building contributes positively to the context and surroundings.
The site plan has been developed to retain the existing road and parking arrangement, with building and playground spaces positioned to the North, within the preserved tree line to the perimeter of the site. Views are welcomed on the site arrangement and proposed servicing of the new facility.
We are welcoming all views on the proposals at a consultation event, where members of the Council, Trust and wider project team will be available to answer any questions. Feedback can also be provided online, with the presentation boards available at https://www.rvc.surrey.sch.uk/rvc-development/ and feedback form available here: https://forms.office.com/e/Jh6V5Mk7Z8 The closing date for returning feedback has been extended until 18th December.
The Public Consultation will be held at the following venue:
Surrey County Council Headquarters, 11 Cockshot Hill, Woodhatch, Reigate, RH2 8EF
When: Monday 4th December 2024, 16:00 to 19:00
